My dear friends and family,
The Youth Mental Health Project . I am excited to announce that my cousin Randi Silverman once again been selected as a finalist for the 2018 People’s Choice Award. From the Child Mind Institute! The Child Mind Institute’s annual Change Maker Awards, celebrate individuals who raise awareness and dispel stigma. Help children and families directly, or work to transform the way we understand and treat mental health and learning disorders.
The winner will be decided as a result of online voting which is open to the public daily starting TODAY at 9am through March 23rd at https://childmind.org/campaign/2018-change-maker-awards. As you may recall or not she was a finalist last year, but was informed that she lost by only a handful of votes. As you can imagine, winning the 2018 People’s Choice Award will provide her with a terrific platform to highlight the work we do at The Youth Mental Health Project.
YES, YOU CAN VOTE EVERYDAY!!
(One vote per email address per day may be entered.) VOTE HERE!
The winner will be announced in early April. And will receive the award at a ceremony hosted by NBC’s Cynthia McFadden. At Carnegie Hall in New York City on May 7th. Other honorees that evening will include Activist Award winner, Glenn Close. The founder of Bring Change 2 Mind, which promotes empathy and fights stigma; and Champion Award winner, California Lieutenant Governor Gavin Newsom, whose platform includes prioritizing mental health research and early intervention.
Please show your support for the work The Youth Mental Health Project does do to educate, support and empower families about youth mental health by voting for her and by asking your friends and family to vote, as well!!
So we have had a few requests to explain how to vote, so here you go: Once you are on the voting page (link below) scroll down to her photo, which is sadly at the bottom, and click on her face! (I also voted for BBRF and The Jed Foundation, but you can choose your own organizations to vote for, if you’d like!)
