If you live on the East Coast like me, you know how crazy the weather has been. But, after a never-ending winter and what seems like a non-existent spring, summer is finally here! There’s absolutely nothing like feeling the sun on your skin after a cold winter. And there is definitely no where better to lounge in the sun than the beach. One of the best parts of living in Central Jersey is how close all the great beaches are. It’s just a short thirty minute drive and I’m on the beach in a lounge chair watching the waves go by. People from all over the tri-state area travel to New Jersey for our beaches every single summer. Whether it’s Belmar, Long Branch, Spring Lake, Asbury Park, or any others of our beaches, you’re insured to have a great time.
Things to do
As many know, our beaches host amazing events all summer long. From fourth of July fireworks to concerts and movie screenings, you can enjoy our beaches from day to night. Also, if you love to shop, there are plenty of shops located in the town of Spring lake right by the beach! And I can’t forget to mention all the delicious places to eat we have along the coast. If you’re looking for a bite to eat after a day in the sun at Long Branch beach, there are restaurants in Pier Village such as Siera Ristorante, McLoone’s Pier House, Beach House and tons more. If you have a sweet tooth, check out Coney Waffle in Belmar. They have incredible ice cream flavors and outrageous milkshakes that will satisfy any sugar cravings you have. Not to mention, Coney Waffle has been featured in several articles for their over-the-top dessert creations.
Being a Monmouth County family photographer, one of my favorite places to shoot is the beach. The beautiful colors of sunsets and sunrises at the beach make for incredible pictures. And one of the best parts is photosessions at the beach are great all year round. Whether it’s on the boardwalk or down by the water, I love the fun side and the natural smiles the beach brings out in all my clients. This photograph was taken in Asbury Park for an Engagement.
