Courthouse Wedding Photographer
Monmouth County Courthouse Weddings/ Freehold Professional Photographer
A courthouse wedding photographer will capture every moment of your special day! When many of us hear the word wedding, we don’t picture a courthouse wedding. Instead, we immediately think of a long aisle and the wedding couple walking down a white runner covered with flower petals. While this image appears in many wedding albums you may be surprised at the number of people who get married in a courthouse.
Now, just because the ceremony is in a courthouse, it doesn’t mean that it is any less meaningful. Courthouse weddings are just as memorable and special as those held in other locations. And, it is just as important to capture these special moments on film. In fact, one tip most wedding bloggers give to those considering a courthouse wedding is to hire a professional photographer. Photos are important.
Honestly, I am truly grateful for every opportunity I have to photograph a wedding; couples photography is special to me.
Weddings at the Monmouth County Courthouse
As a New Jersey professional photographer, the most convenient courthouse to me is the Monmouth County Courthouse, located in Freehold, New Jersey. (That said, I’m happy to photograph weddings at other New Jersey Courthouses as well).
Weddings here are performed by the Clerk of Courts in the “Ceremony Room”, what a fabulous bonus. This room seats 21 people, so you can invite your closest family and friends to share in this special moment. Their website shares all the details of their courthouse weddings including what you need to do in order to obtain your marriage license.
Because of the size of the room, I am able to photograph during the ceremony. These pictures will capture the official moments of your wedding. That said, I also realize that many couples want additional wedding photos in a more “romantic location”.
My courthouse wedding photography sessions include a combination of ceremony photos and a portrait session in the location of your choice. Some couples love outdoor photo shoots. Luckily, there are so many spots nearby from which to choose. Consider Allaire State Park in Wall. Their historic village provides a unique backdrop and the park is filled with beautiful foliage. Want to stay even closer? Take a look at Battleview Orchards; it’s a beautiful place for photos. Perhaps you love the beach. If so, you have a choice of lovely spots along the Jersey shore. Sandy Hook is one of my favorites.
If you are hosting a reception, beautiful couples photos can be taken on site. In Freehold, The Metropolitan Cafe even has a private room for parties. Other fabulous places include XXXX and XXXXXX. To be honest, there is no shortage of amazing spots to hold a wedding reception in Monmouth County, New Jersey.
Honestly, nothing makes me happier than sharing in the joy of a couple on their wedding day. Contact me today. I’ld love to learn more about your and your plans for your special day!
