Fourth of July

Fire up those grills and get excited because the Fourth of July is coming up! One of the highlights of everyone’s summer is celebrating on the fourth. It is the pinnacle of all summer activities. Grilling, pool time or a beach day, outdoor games,  and fireworks (of course). I love the sound of fireworks when they light up the night sky! And in Monmouth County there are plenty of places to go to make your Fourth celebration a memorable one. And have no fear, if you miss a firework display, there are several shows you can go to for the rest of the summer!

Marlboro Rec Center

For all those in Marlboro, you are probably aware of the Rec Center’s yearly summer event. This year the celebration will take place on July 15 at 7pm! For Independence Day, the Marlboro Rec Center has a fun night for the whole town. There is live music, ice cream trucks, and games for kids. So bring a blanket or chair and head over to spend some time with friends and family, and of course watch the fireworks!

Long Branch

In Long Branch, music, fun, and fireworks will be all along the Oceanfront Promenade to celebrate the Fourth. This is a rain or shine event and will be taking place from 10 AM to 10 PM. In this annual event, there will be live music, local vendors, food, and exhibits. And the night will close with, you guessed it, fireworks! Which is great for family photo sessions.

Monmouth Park

Looking to continue to the party until the next day? Monmouth Park will be celebrating July 5th with a red, white, and blue party. Come see our flag shine at this afterparty. Wear your most patriotic clothes and head over to Monmouth Park for a time to remember. There will be great food, live bands, beer specials, eating competitions, and other games.

Jenkinson’s

On Jenkinson’s beach, there are fireworks every single Thursday night. So if you miss the crackle and POP of the Fourth’s fireworks, you can watch them from the beach any other week. Spending the day on Jenkinson’s boardwalk and beach would also make for a fun way to spend the holiday. Playing games on the boardwalk while having some delicious food is a great way to enjoy any day of the summer actually! And don’t forget about all the rides at Jenkinsons. From the himalaya to tiny coasters, the park is fun for the whole family.

 Freehold

My families personal favorite, are the fireworks oh July 3rd. Every year we go to Jersey Freeze. And watch the fireworks while eating ice cream! I love being able to carry on traditions.
